Once the firearm is delivered to the dealer, you can go pick up the gun. The local FFL dealer will complete the NICS check and finalize the paperwork to transfer the gun to you.

3. Pick Up Your Firearm

After you have placed your order, Farnsworth Firearms will send you a tracking number for you shipment. While you are waiting, make sure that you are prepared to pick up your gun. Follow these steps below to make sure everything goes smoothly:

Gun Arrival

Farnsworth Firearms will provide you with a tracking number once the firearm has shipped so that you will know exactly when the gun has arrived at your FFL dealer’s location. Once it has arrived, contact your FFL to arrange a time to transfer the firearm. Make sure that you pick up your gun within two weeks of arrival.

Gun Inspection

Guns are NOT returnable. This is due to Federal Regulations, so please inspect you gun thoroughly before transfer. If the firearm received at the FFL Dealer is damaged or incorrect, DO NOT take possession of the gun and contact Farnsworth Firearms immediately. After a transfer is complete, any repair or warranty work must be coordinated directly between you and the gun manufacturer.

Make sure you  bring a valid & updated driver’s license. The FFL dealer will need to verify the person’s identity before the transfer can happen. Also, please check your local laws or speak with your transferring local FFL if any additional documentation or licenses are required for gun ownership. Some states/locations require different information.

NICS Check

Inorder to buy a gun, you must be able to pass a National Instant Criminal Background Check (NICS Check). The local FFL Dealer will have to run this before they can transfer the possession of the gun over to you.

Transfer Fees

Almost all FFL dealers will charge some type of transferring fee for their services. Please call your FFL dealer to figure out all their associated costs.
